2nd Beta

And the number is: 284.

They didn't test my progesterone this time, but the doctor has decided to start me on progesterone suppositories as a precautionary measure. He is concerned that my progesterone level could drop, apparently. 100 mg twice a day is what they're starting me on.

I also have to go back for more bloodwork in a week. They said they always do this with their patients. Is that what other people have done with their RE?

I'm really happy with the number. I just hope things keep moving in the right direction.

That's an AWESOME number! Congratulations!!!!!
My RE's standard procedure is everyone on progestreone and 2 betas before u/s...they basically want to make sure that it's doing whatever it's supposed to (doubling or something).

I think it means you're going to be a mommmy!!!!!!!

SOOOOOOOO HAPPY FOR YOU GUYS!!!!!!

This is a great repeat beta!!!!! And yes, this is normal for you to come back a week later for more bloodwork. And 100mg of progesterone is no big deal. That's what I was on to help with my first pregnancy who's now an 8 year old girl. For this pregnancy I was on 200mg of progesterone and injectibles of progesterone in oil - Yuck! I was so happy to be done those.

Can't wait to hear your further updates and I'll be thinking of you.

Congrats! What beautiful numbers! For my second pregnancy, I had a lot of repeat bloodwork. For this last one I did the initial beta and progesterone then respectfully declined on the rest. I made myself nuts obsessing over numbers.

No matter how high your progesterone, I think supplements are pretty standard for anyone who has ever had a miscarriage. Invest in panty liners!

Loved your comment about industrial decorating style . . . :)

I am so ridiculously excited for you! My RE also does betas two days apart, a third a week later, and then schedules the first u/s for one or two weeks after that.

OVERJOYED for you!

Wonderful, fantastic news! I hope you have the most (medically) boring pregnancy ever and things keep going the right way.

We are always on progesterone supps during the luteal phase. Its icky but worth it.

Take care!
