Show & Tell: New Stuff

I am supposed to be doing House Projects, and not playing with the computer. I am here only under the guise of doing an errand for Terrific T. But of course, I have to sneak in a Show & Tell post.

My new camera got here yesterday. Since it is a House Project day, I've been playing around with it when T. isn't looking. It has all sorts of fun settings that I've been playing with, like this one, which messes with the colors.

In other news, I finished Tertia's book. I really loved it, and would have found it fascinating even if I was not trying to create a family. She really did have almost every bad pregnancy thing imaginable happen to her, but she is nonetheless incredibly spirited. And her penchant for wine and curse words only makes me love her more. If you haven't bought it yet, hop on over to Ama.zon and get it, and then join Mel's book shower for Tertia. It really is a fabulous book. And if Tertia can survive all that, surely I can handle a cycle of Clo.mid?

I have loads of commenting to do, and will be back later to visit with you all. . .as soon as the damn House Projects are done. In the meantime, go see what the rest of the class is showing today.

I nominated you for an award on my blog. Enjoy!

New cameras are sooooo fun to play with! I need to get caught up on the some books I keep hearing about too. Well, we'll see when that happens!

Love the picture and I am in the middle of reading Tertia's book, and I love it also! It makes me feel like maybe I shouldn't wine about three failed IUIs because I haven't been through nearly what she has. Thanks for sharing!

That picture is really cool. I didn't know cameras could have that function. I might have to buy that book too.

This picture is so ominous! I'm always so impressed by everyone's photo taking skills - even with a fancy camera I'm sure my pics would look nothing like yours.
I hope the house projects go quickly, though I know they never do.

I keep hearing great things about this book, now I really must go get it. Your new camera sounds like such fun (look at us--new cameras, new cars...what recession? ;).

I know I can't read her book right now, since I'm in the middle of a pregnancy with twin boys. Her book would make me cry and it doesn't take much these days, so I'd probably be a complete mess.

I can't wait to read it this summer when I'm on leave. She is an amazing person with everything she's been through. And I love her love of wine and being herself no matter what!

What a cool pic! I love manipulating pictures almost as much as I love taking them. Just to see what else I can come up with.

I ordered Tertia's book but haven't received it yet. I am looking forward to reading it.

Wow at the picture...I can do that with my mobile camera as well - reversing the shades, fake colours and sepia tones. It is really fun.

Hmmm....I have to get my hands to Tertia's book.
